VITO SOLDANO Sicily, Italy.
A statio (?) on the large Roman traffic artery between Catane and Agrigentum, similar to Sofiana (Mazzarino) but not yet matched, through brick stamps, with any of the stationes mentioned by the Antonine Itinerary. Quite probably it corresponds to the statio Corconiana. A bath complex of Imperial date has been uncovered.
On the basis of excavation and chance finds it can be assumed that the statio remained in existence until the 8th c. A.D.
